Application For Membership
I/We hereby apply for Membership in the Pacific Northwest Sussex Spaniel Club and
agree to:
Abide by the by-laws, rules and decision of the club and to hold the club and all
persons connected therewith in any capacity whatsoever harmless from any and all
liability, costs, and expenses for any injury or damage to persons or property
caused by and dog brought by me/us to any activity held or sponsored by the club.
Become acquainted with the standard of the breed as approved by the American
Kennel Club and to accept it as the only standard by which Sussex Spaniel should be
judged.
Encourage and promote the breeding of quality Sussex Spaniels and to become
informed about the heritable defects, which can be detrimental to the breed.
Advance the interest of the breed by practicing and encouraging sportsmanship
like competition at dog shows, obedience trials, field activities, tracking and
hunting tests, and all activities in which the breed may become involved.
Protect the Sussex Spaniel by never selling puppies or grown dogs to commercial
outlets and never selling to puppy mills.
Eligibility: There shall be two types of membership open to anyone in good standing
with the American Kennel Club, and must be sponsor by two club member.
Full Voting Membership open to all persons 18 and over. This entitles member to
full club privileges, including voting and office holding. $25.00 per person or
$40.00 per Household
Associate Membership open to all persons 9 and over. This is a non-voting,
non-office holding membership, but included all of the other club privileges such as
awards, newsletters, etc. $15.00 per person or $20.00 per Household. NO CHARGE FOR
JUNIOR.

Before the Board and membership can approve an application, the prospective
member must attend 2 clubs meeting. Attendance for an associate membership is not
required.
While membership is to be unrestricted as to residence, the club’s primary
purpose is to be representative of the breeder and exhibitors in Its’ immediate
area.
